Marie Antoinette Stomacher

I made this Stomacher which is inspired by a 18th Century Rococo painting of Marie Antoinette as part of my embellishment module at university.

It is made from Purple Taffeta, with a cotton Coutil backing.

Beading, hand and machine gathered taffeta were added as embellishment to achieve the rococo aesthetic.
