1940s Velvet Boater Hat

This 1940s hat was based on a design by Roger Worth, which I discovered in the Victorian and Albert Museum's online archive.

The hat was blocked in buckram and covered with devore leopard print velvet, embellished with a black satin ribbon band, navy ostrich feathers and black tulle veiling.
